ABOUT US

Our Story

I started Taleem Foundation in 2012 after an eye-opening encounter with a young boy, around 9 or 10 years old, who worked at a local workshop. Despite his broken English, he thanked me with a heartfelt, ‘Thank you, sir, please ana dobara come again,’ and I couldn’t help but be moved by his words. His parents were very poor and being the eldest child of the family he has to work for just 30 Pakistani rupees in order to afford the basic needs of his family. Yet, his eyes got a passion to learn and grow. That little conversation with that boy changed my motto of life. Even, I myself was a student at that time, I decided to sponsor the child by saving some amount from my pocket money. With support from a friend, I was able to grow my organization which now helps many underprivileged children.
For past many years, I was managing the foundation at my own. However, due to inflation in Pakistan, it is now getting difficult for me to afford all the expenses. That’s why we are now asking the public to support us in this noble cause and help the children in their education and let women learn skills in order to contribute some amount to their families.

Our Programs

Free Early Education for Kids

For all children belonging to underprivileged segments, we cover feeding, stationary, and even educational tuition until grade 10. This is done to ensure that every child turns into a productive member of the society.

Emphasis is also placed on self discipline and manners. some of the most basic manners are exhibited through communication, which include saying greetings, the career of listening, maintaining posture, and having good social manners. Other basic manners taught are the use of ‘thank you’ and ‘please’, civil eating, cleanliness, and good personal grooming. Children are also taught the importance of planning their time, collaboration, and responsibilities to the community.

Being an entire approach is important because children come from families where both parents have to work in order to support the family. It is not only necessary to give them education but also necessary to instill the right values, conduct, and skills that will help them throughout their life.

Women Development Skills

At our institution, we have put in place a focused skill development policy for women. This policy consists of free sewing and emboridery classes and cooking, makeup, and salon courses. We firmly believe that there will be stronger women who when skilled create a strong independent society.

In Pakistan, a number of women are put in precarious positions because of poverty, and at the very end may have to  do wrong doings.  Our focus is to provide an option to all women and make sure that they acquire skills that allow them to earn a decent living while saving their dignity. We teach these women how to sew, knit, cook, and apply makeup so that they are able to take care of themselves and become responsible members of their family and society.

Our aim is to offer these classes for free so that irrespective of one’s economic status, there always exists a way out for improving her life. The society rests on the shoulders of women and when she is competent, she will change her life, her family’s life and the community for better.

Organization Mission

Enabling orphans and impoverished children to realize their dreams and equipping them with skills that help them become benevolent and stalwart leaders who create a difference in society is our duty.

Organization Vision

It is more effective to ignite the candle than to complain about the darkness.
